The current calendar component is an Outlook clone and is seriously limiting. Namely:
  1. Does not support drag and drop of items from a grid to the calendar (say to create a meeting for a given contact)
  2. Display is limited to pre-defined time scales
  3. Can only select one event at a time (move, resize, etc)
  4. No year view
  5. Does not support using the mouse to move around the calendar days
  6. Does not support filtering
  7. Does not support HTML tags or icons
  8. Does not support ad-hoc display of items with date values (only "scheduled" items)
We've decided to switch to another calendar component which support all of these. It is from the same supplier as the grid.

The decision was not an easy one as the current calendar component is not bad, and significant time was invested in integrating it with InfoQube. But the end result will be a much better and visually consistent product.
Integration with the Google Calendar sync code should be easier too.

Looks good -
are 'Pro', 'Prima' & 'Animax' meant to be different projects?

Pierre, this looks great. What an improvement over the current calendar. Do you have an idea when you will incorporate this?

I don't want to fix any date, but I'm releasing v0.9.26PreRel11 today and will then start integrating this component.

Initially, both calendar components will be available, at least, that is the plan !

I think it's a great move, Pierre. Better to put your energies where there's more potential.
