Hello all.  I've been out of the loop for a while.  My motherboard went bad and I had to re-install all my software.  I'm trying to get back to where I was a few weeks ago.

I installed pre-release 41, portable.  I noticed that it no longer seems possible to display PDF's in the HTML pane.  I tried dragging PDF's there and also to the grid but neither did anything.  I know it was working before because I had a discussion with Pierre about the merits of using PDF's inside InfoQube.

Am I just doing something wrong or is this something missing in the 41 release?

Thanks, Wayne

Hi Wayne !

Welcome back and sorry to hear about your computer failure and rebuilding. I had to do the same a few weeks ago... Grrr

Nothing was changed regarding displaying PDF documents in the HTML pane.
Drag-drop of PDF documents was never implemented. In the HTML pane, the way to do it is simply File > Open and point to the PDF file.

This feature relies on 2 components:
  1. Internet Explorer handling embedded documents
  2. Having an embeddable PDF viewer. Adobe reader works for this
HTH !

Thanks, Pierre.

When I do File>open it opens a new instance of InfoQube and then hangs up.  That's not how I remember it working.  I really thought I either dragged the PDF into the HTML pane or into the grid.  I have notes that say you can view PDF's inside InfoQube.  Viewing an individual pdf using a second instance of InfoQube would not qualify for that.

I guess my memory is just off.
