Is anyone else having trouble saving web pages?  It's not working for me at all now.  I've tried every combination of options in the "Copy Content" dialogue and I get either nothing in the HTML pane or the Yahoo log-in! (see below).  I'm getting the Yahoo log-in capture on pages that have nothing to do with Yahoo.  I've re-started Firefox and InfoQube to no avail.

Which Firefox version ?
What about the universal clipper ? I've set the shortcut key to Win+A and it works really well...

Firefox 42.0.  Win+A does nothing on my computer.  I've been using the Firefox tool icons installed by the addon.

I'll check the FF clipper with FF 42.0

Set the Universal clipper shortcut in Tools > Options > 1.5.14, I entered {Win} A
Restart IQ and check it out !

Can't get it to work at all using the shortcut.  Default was set to Win-C.  I changed to Win-A (not that it matters) and got the same result.

1) Did not capture web page.

2) In the blank space at bottom of capture dialogue it inserted the current contents of the Windows clipboard (a phrase I'd copied unrelated to IQ).

3) It inserted this phrase in the HTML pane.  Nothing else was there.

4) Browser mode was locked and couldn't be changed

5) On subsequent tries, it started inserting the clipping info in the HTML pane, but no web page. It inserted current clipping info AND the previous clipping info.  Browser mode was still locked.

Here's the dialogue that comes up:

Here's the result:

No suggestions for anything I can try?  I'm baffled how things can just stop working when they were working before and nothing has changed.  The text clipper still works but it will not capture web pages.  It just comes up blank every time except for clipping text described above.

I can confirm that the universal clipper is not working here -- it simply pastes whatever was last copied.

Note that the firefox clipper *is* working here using Firefox ESR (the more stable version of FF -- I think it's at 38.xx).

Wayne, as a short-term workaround, you could 'install' a portable version of the ESR Firefox (and drag the InfoQubeFFExtension.xpi onto it to install the IQ addon)

More info about FF ESR:

Tom,

Thanks for the confirmation.  The universal clipper isn't working for me in Chrome or Internet Explorer, either.  I'm getting the same behavior described above.

it seems to be a site thing:
i.e. it does actually work, but did not work for the particular site I tried this morning (no content was copied).
Unfortunately, I dont know what the site was (will try to refind it), but the few other sites I've tried just now worked fine.

@Wayne -- so it might be worth trying this, or another browser.

I've tried 30+ sites in three browsers.  None worked.

Update: it's back to working.  Everything is exactly as it was before but for some reason the web page capture is back to working.  I could see immediately that the dialogue was different because there was no text box below.  It's not perfect (there are several black boxes where there should be images) but it's pretty good.

Since I don't know why it stopped and don't know why it started working, I'm not too confident it'll continue working.
