Today I clipped a web page and when ever I select the item in IQ, IQ hangs for about 2 minutes.  After it finishing hanging I can then navigate through other items at normal break neck speed, but the moment I go back to that item it hangs for 2 minutes, every time.  It's the only time I've ever experienced this.  I deleted the item and recaptured the web page and same thing.

Has anyone else experienced this with with any web clippings?

I'm on version 83.

Thanks

How was the web page captured ?
What it captured as MHT or HTML ?
Did you select text and use the universal clipper ?

Some web pages, have tons of links to other web sites, so loading can be long

- No, I captured the entire page.  I've never had any issues doing this, and was under the impression that IQ is just functioning as a browser and that even if their are external links it might slow things down a bit...but not hang.  Not a big deal though, I usually capture text.  I usually only capture the whole page when I am in a hurry, and clean it up later.

Yes, it happens here to, from time to time. Some clipped pages seem to give the HTML pane a really hard time. Fortunately, it doesn't often happen.
Not sure why it happens. Hyopthesis : the pane is dynamically re-downloading some stuff etc., instead of just displaying what's captured

In v84:
  • Change: Web Clipper: Saving whole pages no longer saves scripts. This "should" help when saving complex pages and avoid annoying pop-ups when later-on viewing the content.
