Option to link files by creating a shortcut to the file ("Link should point to : shortcut to the file") : doesn't work anynore.
It creates extra empty folders in *.SNDB named after the file.

- created a test.txt file
- dragged it to IQ
- a bogus folder/link is created in the SNDB (e.g. E:\IQ\*.SNDB.files\test.lnk\(empty))

Not sure when that started, since I've mainly used 83.

I meant to report a similar bug today.

When dragging a file with the above settings into InfoQube - the Item Field populates with (link) and not the actual <Filename>.lnk

Worked after some initial test.
Now the problem has reappeared.
link to folder, not to file + (link).

However, it affects not all files, I think this is not something new though.

Did testing with two files from the same folder.
- one works properly
- the other doesn't.

Both have the following properties, same file extension, no special characters, both upper case.
Will provide more examples later.

Perhaps it is because there is a folder created with the same name (created by the previous IQ version as reported above) ? If yes, deleting the folder should fix it.

Sorry. Last post was rather unclear.

I was trying to drag&drop files with the shortcut option (not folders).
What I get normally is the name of the file.lnk (if there is already the file with the same name - [n] is added [1]..[2]) etc.
However, sometimes when I drag & drop a file the following problem occurs:
- in previous versions -> the whole path gets as Item text -> to the folder, not the file
- in current versions -> (link) with link to the folder.

There is nothing unusual (to me) in terms of special characters, length of file name, length of path...etc.
I will try to provide examples the next time it happens.
