(ok, last bug post for today ... : ) )

I used to be able to just type in a "fixed list popup" (typing the right stuff, of course) where there's already data, but a while ago that became impossible. I have to press F2 or paste in it to be able to replace the data.

E.g. if I press B in a field where there's already an A, B won't be recorded.

Comments

If I type "B" in a fixed list field that has an "A", it adds the "B" to the "A" (=AB).

This is the consistent behavior I've always experienced with the InfoQube grid.  I don't think it should be that way and I've had a hard time adjusting.  I think it should behave like Excel:

1) Single click a cell = typing replaces existing cell text
2) Double click a cell = typing appends to existing cell text (ie double click activates edit mode)

Agreed for fields that have a pop-up editor. This behavior is for normal text fields. I'll fix it

What's going to be fixed?
Unless I'm misunderstanding something, adding letters after a string when starting to type in normal text field is perfect IMO.
Please dont change it... IQ isn't Excel. I don't want to double click on a cell each time I want to append text to what's there.
When focus is on cell:
- F2 puts the cursor/focus at the beginning of string
- Directly starting to type appends characters to what's already there
- "Delete" removes everything and your free to start from scratch.
Simple, efficient.

Not sure we're talking about the same thing here.
In a field/cell where there's a fixed list configured, I can absolutely not type anything else than what's in the list. E.g. : can only type, A, B, C, ... but not "AB". And that's all fine with me. That's how it should be.

The problem I'm mentionning is that I can't replace a value that's already there by just typing when the focus is on the cell, without first pressing F2 OR without first deleting the value then replacing it.
Maybe that's by design, but it's not coherent with other field's behavior.

I see.  I just noticed that my fixed-list pop-up field doesn't have "entry must be in list" checked.  Once I checked that option, it behaves as you've described.
