Why do some items indicate in the property values section where local storage is for the item, but other items do not? As an example an MHT file displays the location.  However attachments sent via EmailToIQ do not.  Is it practical/feasible to make that more consistent?  Not a big deal, but would be nice if easy/possible to implement.

Thanks

When using EmailToIQ:
  • If there are attachments, the content of the email will be in the IQBase (embedded) but the attachments will be separate files in the .Files folder
  • If there are no attachments but there are images inside the email, the item HTML will be a separate file (ItemXXXX.htm) and the image will be in the .Files folder
See https://support.google.com/mail/answer/148408?hl=en for details on the distinction between attached and embedded images

Pierre,

I think you might have misunderstood my question.  What I am saying is when IQ does automatically create a local storage folder for something, I think it would be useful if that folder was always shown in the properties pane.  As it stands right now, sometimes it is (like for an MHT document), but sometimes it isn't (like for attachments).

Thanks

The properties pane shows the item and not the attachments.
Many reasons for that, but one is that there could be more than one attachment, so which one would be shown ?
More generally, the HTML content may have any number of dependent files (images), and the properties pane does not show this information.

That said, if you want to propose something, provide a practical example. Thanks

I am not suggesting linking to each attachment, I am suggesting the property pane display a link to the folder, which contains all the attachments.
