If a grid uses the field "finances" as the source, and the user changes the field name to "financial", the grid should maintain the source.  I often fiddle with grid names and field names as I'm adding more and more grids/fields to IQ, and it's always time consuming to have to reset grid sources when all I wanted to do was rename a field.

Thanks

A related example is I just renamed a field.  The column for that field then disappeared from about 50 grids it was in use in, so now it has to be added back to 50 grids.  IMO the column should still be there, all I did was rename it.

BTW, I am not sure how this works.  Sometimes I have deleted fields, yet noticed the columns for those (no longer existing) fields remain in the grids.  Yet yesterday when I renamed a field, the associated column seemed to disappear from every grid?
