I posted some time back about this problem.  I need to move a massive amount of text from one column to another (from the narr-1 column to the item column).  I've found no easy way to do this.

Pierre suggested using this formula: =[narr-1].  When I pasted the formula into an item cell, it automatically copied the text from the narr-1 column.  For some reason, I can't get it to work now.  Is there some setting that has to be active for this to work?  I can't find the original thread nor more notes on the problem (grrr).

Even with a working formula this is an enormous task.  It would be so much easier if I could copy/paste like you can in Excel:  select x number of vertical cells, then select the same x number of cells in the other column, and paste.  Each block of text goes into the corresponding cell.  Doesn't work like that in InfoQube.

edit: copy/paste multiple cells does work as long as each cell contains no line breaks.  If a cell does have line breaks, InfoQube pastes them into different cells.

I'm copying text from pdf's and websites into Infoqube.  This text includes many line breaks which in turn causes multi-cell copy/paste to fail.  So I guess what I'm looking for is for InfoQube to recognize a cell as a unit, and copy all text within the cell regardless of line breaks, bulleted lists etc.  Mine may be a special-use case so I'll leave it up to Pierre to judge whether this would be generally useful enough to do.

Got it!  The procedure changed with 101.  Now you have to right-click the equation in the properties pane and select "parse equation."  I spent hours yesterday hitting ctrl-c, ctrl-v like an idiot.  My poor keyboard.

Correct. Automatic parsing was a problem for some users. Now there is a field setting: Parse if starts with "="
If checked, parsing is automatic, if not, right-click on the field value in the Properties pane > Parse
