I think I posted about this before but it hasn't been fixed (or I haven't been educated).
 
When a grid is deleted, all open grids are closed.
 
Please let me know if there's a way to avoid this as it's a pain to have to open 30+ grids every time I delete a grid.
Bonus request: the only way to open multiple grids is by launching them one by one, correct?  If so, it would be nice to
be able to open all grids in a group with one click

Good suggestion and good catch. Not sure why it was coded that way, but it is fixed in v110:
  • New: Properties pane: New context menu to open all grids in a group
  • Fixed: Grid: Deleting a grid closed all loaded grids

Great!  That'll be a time-saver. 
 
Bonus if we can control the order of the displayed tabs (eg by setting the group grid order in the properties pane).
