We have moved all our company's files from Dropbox shared folder into G Suite team folder.

Now we have an "Google File Stream" tools installed in each User's PC, it works similarly as desktop Dropbox , syned ( stream , so do not consume PC's hard drive said so ) with your google file included Team Folder's file.

so My question is :
Can we ,  multi users who can work on one single IQ file basis following arrangement ? :

- the IQ file is in our Google Team Folder with all users can access read and write.
- and every user install 'google file stream' in their own PCs, so that this IQ file can be access from their PC.

- can different users open and work this IQ file directly from their PC's 'goolg file stream' folder ?  simultaneously ?

- or should we work on a copy of this IQ file stored in the local  PC, and then sync it with the shared IQ file in desktop 'goolge file stream' team folder. ?

Please, give me some comments if any one have ever tried so.

Best regards

Hi Sean,

I haven't tried Google File Stream, but it is safe to assume that it does not work like a LAN and hence, you should use it as a Dropbox-like environment, i.e. one user at a time. See IQ's Dropbox sync doc.

Additionally, you probably must set the IQBase (yourfile.SNDB) as being available off-line and open that copy, not the "online" copy
