I was just looking at the manual page "Sync with a fictitious SQL Server database" Sync with a fictitious SQL Server database and looked at the example -
it seems to involve syncing data from another DBMS, specifically the results of a SELECT statement with multiple table joins, to IQ fields.
Unless I am not understanding this correctly, that would seem to make it possible to use IQ to query external database data using table joins and generate results with many-to-one relationships, in a way that can't be done using the "internal" IQ capabilities.
The process is not particularly easy though. That makes me think, if IQ can do this, could not IQ accomplish similar results by creating a grid that joins multiple grids and filters the joined grid in any desired manner?

I hope I have phrased my question in an intelligible way.

Hi Jim,

That is clearly a possibility. Can you describe what you'd like to do, perhaps it can be done in a simpler way
