I had to close the five InfoQube files I had running so I could reboot.  Thought I'd do it the easy way this time by using the taskbar to right-click>close the files.
 
When you do it this way, your tabs are lost.  I had 20-30 tabs open in each file, and every file reloaded with no tabs visible.
 
So lesson learned: when you have to close out InfoQube, use File>Exit.

For now, did you try the new command:
View > Layout > Restore last tab layout ?

I had an older version lacking the command.  I just updated to the latest, but of course now the "last tab layout" is the one missing the tabs.
 
Not a big deal and it's great to have that option going forward.
