Is there something that prevents the Tags scratch grid from loading column sets?  I can't get it to work.   Nothing happens.   I'm using my own defined scratch grid.
 
I tested column load on another grid and it worked fine.

I am new to this infoQube program and still starting to play around with it.
While so doing I stumbled across this that relates a little to adding stuff on right side of scratch.
 
Have you tried the CopyView>PasteView approach.
I had to create a new grid and copied it by pasteView to the scratch grid.
Oops but the rows not auto-aligned .
I think it is short of what you want.

Thanks.  I haven't used that but will give it a try.  There are so many different ways to accomplish things in InfoQube.  That's one of the really nice things about it.  I highly recommend sticking with it.  If you're looking for high-powered information management, i don't think you an can do better.
 
Good luck and post any issues you have here.  I try to respond if it's something I know about.
