I run 4-6 instances of InfoQube all the time.  I tried to automate the process of opening the files by putting them in the start up folder.

The files do open, but in every case, one of the files is fine but all the others have corrupted menus and title bars (blank spaces, line fragments etc).  They are all fixed by closing the files and launching them again.

Not asking that anything be done but am just curious if someone might know what causes this and if there's another way to automate the opening of multiple InfoQube files.

Do you at times have the same file opened in more than one instance ?
Perhaps this could be the cause of some of your "disappearing item" issue previously reported

It is good to provide this info when reporting bugs...

I never run two instances of the same file.  I've done it accidentally a few times but close the second  file immediately when I realize what I've done.

Thanks, Tom.  I see there are free utilities available that let you delay the start of programs.  Spacing out the start times should do it (if it's worth the effort).

hi Wayne, the app I mention in the other thread ('Splat' from Skwire / Donationcoder Link) is a lovely app to use for starting a bunch of files / apps related to a particular project. It can include delays -- and can be used at startup -- but note I havent used it to setup a startup profile myself.

Fixed in v114h:
  • Fixed: Starting 2 or more IQ instances at the same time does not correctly load menu configurations (due to file lock)
