Not sure if this is a bug or just the way it works.

I created a new grid using "save as" then tried to rename the grid, but it won't let me

1) Grid: Papers

2) Grid>Save as>PaperSumms (this creates new grid: PaperSumms with source: Papers)

3) Manage Grids>PaperSumms>Grid Name> [Change name to Summaries] >save>exit

When I return to main view the grid tab still has the old name.  When I go back to Manage Grids, the grid has reverted to the old name.

Guess I have to delete the old grid and create a new one from scratch.  Seems like you should be able to change the grid name directly.

Hi Wayne,

Could be a bug, but did you try to simply rename the grid from the Manage Grids dialog ?
(seems quicker than using Save As and then rename, etc)

Pierre,

I used save-as because I wasn't renaming an existing grid.  I wanted a new grid with the same column set up as the old grid.

I then changed my mind about the name I wanted for the new grid.  When I tried to re-name the new grid I was unable to.

I can just delete the misnamed grid and create a new one using save-as (which I've done).

Just brought it up as a possible minor bug, since you should be able to change grid names in the Manage Grids dialogue.
