As shown in this screen-recording, Doc Pane's images are getting corrupted after merging items (join items command).
If you need further information, just let me know.
Best,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,
I can see why this is happening. Images are saved in the .Files folder, in a sub-folder of the item (ItemIDxxxxx_files)
When you merge two items, the link fails if you chose to delete merged items.
The solution is not obvious. Ideally, I should store the image "in" the html file (as base64 encoded string), but the last time I checked, this had its own issues.
If you have a backup, you can look into the subfolders of deleted items and copy the image files to the merged item through either:
1- copy paste image back, or
2- just copy the file. IQ should (may) find the new location of the file and display the content correctly

Hi Pierre,
Thanks for the tips for dealing with the corrupted images on the Doc Pane.
I just performed new tests, having in mind that I could store the images in an HTM or MHT container, to avoid them getting corrupted after joining items.
So, before pasting the image from the clipboard, I converted IQ default Doc Pane into HTM and MHT, then I pasted the image and merged the items.
Actually, the new tests output are worse than the first test because IQ includes in the merging the content of just one item's Doc Pane, ignoring the content of the other items.
You can see in details the screen-recording of each test:
Because of the tests output, I changed the thread title from "Doc Pane's images getting corrupted after merging items", broadening it to "Doc Pane's content getting corrupted after merging items"
