I've been experimenting with making more use of Surface view, and I've been finding it very useful.

The only issue I've been having is that, when I have Surface open, IQ runs into some minor issues. Specifically, when I click on menus, the item under the mouse doesn't highlight (although it can still select items using up/down arrow keys). And sometimes, if I have more large grids open, clicking on a menu just flashes its contents and then the menu closes right away. (Could this be related to using a large monitor that makes IQ have to work too hard to create Surface layout?)

(EDIT: Note that when I close Surface, the issue goes away.)

Hi Lucas,

The menu highlight issue occurs when there are more than one instance of surface-like UI. i.e. IQ Surface and a Card view, or 2 Card views, etc

It is on the list of minor issues, related to COTS tools used by InfoQube. I must contact the tool supplier to find the cause.

(complicating this, is that it is possibly due to the interaction of components from two different suppliers !!)

Hi Pierre, okay, that explains it. Indeed, I had Surface, Map, and Card views all open, so that explains it. I can certainly adapt and just use arrow keys for now.
