Hi IQ Users !

Google Keep now has an official public API. This means that IQ could sync to it, the same it can sync with other Google services

Anyone using Google Keep ? Seeing any benefit to sync between it and IQ ?

I started using Evernote about a year-and-a-half ago because of the IQ sync. I'm not a fan of it (I mainly use the android app), dislike it's user interface and find myself using it less and less in the last couple of months. On my phone, I even find myself preferring to put info in my diary (diarium) rather than Evernote, where it should go.

So when you posted this Pierre, it prompted me to try out Keep again. Still havent really tested nor made much use of the tags / labels, but I find basic use (note taking) lovely and simple -- like it should be. So much easier than Evernote, which basically makes it much less annoying to use.

Anyone else looking for an Evernote alternative ?

Will try using tags more in the next while and get back to you again.

All the best, Tom

Hi Tom,

Thanks for you comments. Keep is indeed refreshingly simple, but perhaps too much so as it has (till now) no rich text formatting nor hyperlinks. There is rumors that this is coming, but Google is slow, to say the least, in improving Keep.

As to Evernote, since you're on Android, you can install an older version. I use 8.13.3 and it is a great experience IMHO.

Yes! It would be great if you could implement the sync. Google keep is a very useful app that I have been using (as a simple to do list) for years along with Infoqube.

Yes and yes. Personally, I think Keep is great in a "sticky notes" type role: just throw a random something into Keep (even using Google Assistant (in a voice command)) and worry about filing it away later.
