There are two ways to make the html "return" go to the next line without creating a space between the lines:
1) Shift+Return
2) Click on the DIV button (menu>Edit>Use DIV) which will use DIV tags, instead of <P> tags  

 

Default Font [Temporary] to change default font in the HTML pane: Find the file NewHTML.htm, in AppFiles folder in the installation folder. This file serves as a template for all new content.
