Pierre, the two options for gantt display seem to be only one... or one that remains & one that comes & goes. There is one view that has months on top & nothing else, i.e. no day, week, month, etc (I'm assuming these are the zoom buttons). I am only interested in seeing the months w/o all that other stuff w hich I only find confusing @ this time. But it seems to drop out, disappear. Any help here would be appreciated. Thx

  1. Which zoom button are you clicking (Min, Hr, Day, ...) ?
  2. What would you like different?

Yeah, really badly written. Sorry about that.
 
Gantt display options include:
1. Show overview
2. show overview zoom buttons
 
1. Show overview seems to add only month & date of beginning of week (this is good for me) but this doesn't seem to hold between program close / re-opens
2. Show overview seems to add more info which I don't use, ie. hr, day, week, etc
 
I don't know enough to ask for changes in gantt chart
However , it seems that  #1 disappears between program re-starts

Gantt scale (or zoom buttons), i.e. Min, Hr, Day, ... is not saved, and close and re-open of a grid always resumes to Day scale. Click on the desired scale

I'm having some other difficulties w Gantt. For example the duration seems to be in days. However If I want it to be hours, i.e. 8 hrs starting @ 8:00am - 4:00pm, I get calculation errors (2 of them) even if I'm looking @ the hours view.  Wondering if there should be some other view that more resembles a work day vs a long term project, i.e. 3 wks. I got so confused & frustrated by this that I had to move away from Gantting to get anything done.
 
I'm also confused by all the date fields.
 
For example, the calendar seems to use on in particular, the gantt another & then -- of course -- users can create their own.
 
There is mention of a gantt template of some kind. Where is it?  Can it be customized? Etc.
 
BTW,  not to be totally negative, I've got a lot of stuff working just fine in IQ & my organixzational skills are getting better.
