Not strictly a how to question but

If I clip / copy to IQ, a handy dialog opens that has a due date. However it looks to me like any appt would have to be ApptDate.  So if I clip a mtg announcement from a website & I enter a due date, it's never going to appear on a a calendar which seems only to relate to ApptDate.  I'm probably missing something here but the clipping dialog date entry can save a 2nd step in some instances which would be handy but I'm not clear on how to use it.  TIA

Not sure I understand what you'd want exactly, Jan, but keep in mind the add item window is not "complete" yet.

Pierre : maybe there could be at least one kind of combo box in the "add item" window which would complement the "assign to" one, and would be flexible and allow the addition of different field values to an item. Something like the alphanumeric toolbar, or the "available fields" form (or even complete forms !) from the properties pane, which type and search functionnality allows easy field selection. This would work : select different  fields, and then enter values for it.

Generally speaking, I'd probably use only two to four extra fields (projects, category, and maybe a few others...), so... that system wouldn't be too cumbersome to use.

And... if the shortcut keys for the add item window could be fixed, + a way (shortcut keys) to easily access and the "Assign to" part of the window (like I mentioned several times...)... That would be cool.

If Pierre were to have a drop down box for fields,

1. it would make assignments more time consuming unless filtering as your type was included which I would vote for (if this was a democracy)
2. It would solve my problem with the date thing & the entire due date field could just go away.
3. It would streamline the data import dialog
