We've been in 0.9.24 pre-rel for the last 6 months (sorry folks ) and I concluded that was enough. So 0.9.24 will have the same calendar as it is currently implemented.
Using the Calendar is safe, only thing to keep in mind is that appts must be entered / modified only in the Calendar and not in a grid. Apart from that, it is usable, including alarms and recurring events. No need to redo things when it gets updated.
Sorry to say Jan, but this is lazyness on your part...
Simply create an appointment and look into the properties pane - filled fields section - and you'll find your answer.
Time spent answering posts like this is time not available to releasing the new beta...
OK, I'll go have breakfast, relax will come back in a better mood

Perhaps laziness, perhaps ignorance, perhaps I should have asked a more direct question. The reason I asked the question is that I see / saw ApptDate from Calendar pane in properties but when I add ApptDate to my grid, the calendar appts are not showing up. Source = [ApptDate] or [Date]. I've closed & re-openend grid. I did not close / re-open program. I use field Date in other grids which is why it's there.
If I create an appointment in my test IQbase, the filled fields are Appointments, Item and ItemDuration. There is no field called ApptDate, nor does this appear in the list of fields available in grids. This particular IQbase was created originally by converting an Ecco file in which appointments were stored in a folder (field) called Appointments. Can you explain this behaviour?
Consistent with Pierre's warnings concerning version 0.9.24, items with field Appointments do not appear in the Calendar.
When eventually we get a version of IQ which fully supports the Calendar (that is, in which items stored in the calendar can be updated in grids), will it be necessary to rename fields that I import from the Ecco calendar?

The appointment date field is called Appointements, but fields can be renamed. Whatever the name, it is Field ID 50 (checkout Field Management)
0.9.25 (the next major one) will have a working Calendar
Where are we on UltraRecall import? Mantis indicates open but no progress is visible in Mantis. I'd really like to get my life together under one roof. It was indicated some time ago that this import possibility was imminent. Just wondering what's happening on this promised front.
This week, school was over with but day care only starts next week... so I do day care for my 6 year-old girl. And in the evening, I'm finishing up some overdue accounting.
