If I click on a window tab, I frequently find that, instead of changing focus to that grid, I'm moving it. It appears to me that if user clicks on anything other than the IQ logo in a tab this happens. If that is the case, this is much to precious, IMO.

do you mean you're moving the grid-tab ?

dont have that problem here - I have to very actively drag the tab in order to move it

Same as Tom. Never had an issue with this. You need to click on a Workspace Tab, hold the button and move it to a new position. Either your issue is something else, or else, perhaps, your mouse is defective...

maybe we're talking about different things. I'm not talking about moving tabbed workspace within a pane, i.e. change it's position. I'm talking about moving from one horizontal / vertical group.

Humm... not much clearer. Your initial post title and content made no reference to tab groups.

Could you summarize from scratch, as I'm a bit lost here...

More generally, users should follow forum posting etiquette:

and take the required time to write clear posts with meaningful titles and always re-read it before posting and ask yourself if it would be clear to someone else.

Fine. I'm tired of being spanked here. Instead of breakfast, go have a couple of beers on me.

Hi Jan
in fairness, and not wanting to gang up on you, but if you post so unclearly, the people who answer you (me included) are literally wasting their time trying to figure out what it is you're saying or else answering a question you havent even asked due to misunderstanding your text.

This seems to be one of those cases where a picture or two could save a thousand words...
