Goal: User wants item background to change if Boolean field is engaged
Equation = A:ItemColor=&HCAFFFF|E:ItemColor=
This equation used to work just fine, i.e. when a Boolean field was engaged, it turned the background color to a light yellow, if Boolean was unchecked, the color was removed
It just stopped working & I can't figure out why
What's changed?
 
Maybe someone else could try this to see if it's working elsewhere

works fine here Jan - beyond that I cant help you I'm afraid

It works fine here too. Did you rename the ItemColor field? Did you change the field used for ItemColor (in Tools>>Options>>This database) ? Else, can you remove all items and send the file over?

@Pierre: didn't rename ItemColor field, didn't change the field used for ItemColor
This is most curious because I have another field w a backgroundcolor equation which works as expected.  This is so odd I'm going to dump all my data & send the file to you, Pierre. I assume it goes to the support e-mail address.

Conditional format and other autimatic formating stuff is sometimes a bit glitchy. It usually happens after a field/column change, etc.
Sometimes, one needs to close and reopen a grid to have all the formating back.
 
Pierre : when a user changes/adds columns/fields, would it be possible for IQ to simulate a grid close-reopen ? Or is there a way to avoid these formating glitches ?
