This is in approximate order of importance to me. I think my requests are modest in the sense that they represent mainstream features that users would expect to find in any program in this day and age. This is not say that anyone else's list has less value but it is to say that I don't think there's anything 'techie' or 'esoteric' in this list (doesn't mean they are easy to implement). But I think most items would make the program more user friendly, something IQ needs desperately IMHO. Thank you.
09/26/09 08:31 am: I'm a lucky guy. In reviewing my list, I can see that a lot of what I thought was important has been improved or perfected to one degree or another. I know that full calendar integration is not scheduled until v9.25 & we're getting close but this is a friendly nag because I believe -- except for Outlook which is no competition for IQ -- there is no outliner out there that has true graphic calendar integration. This would be a big leap forward, setting IQ apart, so I hope its implementation can be advanced.
performance
calendar 2 way integration with grid, alarms, etc.
calendar 2 way integration with grid, alarms, etc.
printing - it's a convoluted process now. Should be as easy as <CTRL>+P
improved GUI
improved GUI
- make drag / drop between grids easier & more reliable
- auto-refresh events to remove confusion when things have to be refreshed re-started, etc
- open tabs memory between program close / re-open
make copy / paste more reliable, easier (at least add a hint for the user to use the # cell to select)- make scrolling w cursor easier, i.e. expand # of pixels
- add hints for sorting, etc how to structure, i.e. use & between (xxx) or commas between items, etc
explanation about copy / paste direction, i.e. top to bottom vs bottom to top changes paste order- add other date functions in add calendar item dialog (currently only due date but have to go to properties to show in calendar)
ability to use html window as browser, i.e. a link would open in html pane instead of jumping to FF or IE
simplify email out, i.e. smtp data from IQ, no need to re-invent an email client

highlighting searched items

Thanks for all your creativity & dedication, Pierre.
