I have an IQ Base with multiple grids. I have grid A1 with columns A, B, C. I have a second grid B1. Is it possible to have columns A & C from grid A1 auto populate 2 columns in B1. Thanks
This is a follow up to my "can't close welcome.sndb" post awhile back. My problem is that I'll come back to my laptop and find that my IQ instance isn't responding. I've discovered it's not just "welcome.sndb" that does this; it also happens with my "main.sndb" instance when it's the only instance running. I call it a zombie, because the taskbar icon is still present, the infoqube.exe process is still appears in "Process Explorer". The window is entirely unresponsive. The X button will still turn red if i hover over it, but if I click it, nothing happens, not even an "infoqube is not r

Just recently started happening - after I get prompted that there is a new version of the file in the sync folder (I'm using OneDrive), and selecting to copy and load that file, the file opens but the grids that were opened before the update do not get reopened. Only the Home Page gets opened. Running 122h.
Well I tried 'em all. From Todoist to EssentialPIM and beyond. They just don't cut it.
I'm sure many of you guys have had this 'problem' Is there any program for android-Windows that comes to close to IQ or ECCO. I'm using Google keep which works great (and Pierre has promised a Keep-IQ link RSN) but Keep is just a glorified note taker. Google tasks is an anemic app w-a-y under-powered. Note- .I can't use Evernote due to corporate policy.
A few times I've seen the Doc Pane menu items appear in italics. What does that indicate? I did a search but didn't find anything.
I have a lot of contacts that I plan to import into IQ.
I can put the phone numbers, addresses, E-mails, URLs etc in fields or in the Doc pane (using some standard format).
The advantage with using the Doc pane is that it is already there and provides a convenient way to see all information at once (my AddressBook is detached and not very wide so it is difficult to scroll the columns).
Furthermore, many contacts have several phone numbers (e.g. a business with different departments) and it is unpractical to have 10 fields for phone numbers 1 to 10,....
Inevitably there will be times when I make changes to one version of an IQ database before the changes from another computer on the network have been synced to the computer I'm using. Then I'll have two or more databases with data that are different to some degree. I'll wonder what changes I made on the other computer that are not in the database I'm currently using. A while back I was testing how IQ could interface with Chat GPT. (I know, others are doing it too). I was trying to fix a bug with repeating events when going from daylight saving to standard times. I took me a good 4 hours to fix it.
I then copied some of my notes and pasted it in Chat GPT. It gave the solution I had found. Impressive

I'm currently spending some months on a project where I often need to work with my data from my mobile device (iOS) without an internet connection. I take my notes in the form of outlines (instead of using the Document pane), so Evernote sync doesn't fit the bill. So, I've been using a much-more-limited cross-platform outliner (Logseq), but I'm starting to explore options for IQ-mobile workflows.
