Hi IQ Users !
By keeping the same Windows version number, 10, Microsoft wants us to think that it is one version, when in fact, so much has changed under the hood between v1507 and the current v1909
In parallel, Microsoft has been branching out with specialized versions of Windows 10, such as Windows 10S, Windows 10X and Windows on Arm.
As a software developer, each version can cause issues, minor ones or worst, major ones.
Perhaps the most drastic OS change is one that also has major hardware changes as is Windows on Arm of course. Arm processors have little to do with x86/x64 based ones.
Today I got to try out the Surface Pro X, a high-end 13in Windows on Arm machine and I'm happy to report that the most recent InfoQube Portable runs just fine without any issues !
Even more amazing is that the performance was excellent ! With my limited testing (I was in a Best Buy store), it seems as fast if not faster than my current development machine !!!
Long live InfoQube !
