Are there any options / settings that I could try toggling to make IQ a little snappier if I don't use all of its features? For example, I do not use tags, not all types of equations, no inheritance, and (at least I think) I don't use conditional formatting. Probably some others as well.
Failing that, what settings would generally have the most impact on how snappy working in grids might feel?
Many thanks!
How do I ?

I just updated Settings for best IQ experience, you've implemented some suggestions?
Thanks, getting rid of grid…
Thanks, getting rid of grid lines and disabling touchpad scrolling helped a good deal - scrolling is now much smoother. One thing that still takes rather annoyingly long, though, is simply creating a new item by pressing Enter in the grid.

Strange, adding items has never seemed to be slow here. Here is a video for the sample IQBase:

I just realized that it's really only my main grid ('Action') that has this issue - in this grid, it takes around 1.5 seconds for the item to appear after pressing Enter.
Any ideas what I could try to remedy that?

The source field has only 201 items assigned, title bar says "(66)". It has one auto-assign rule ("A:A_Pending=0"). It has four columns in total - these have some associated "code" and I'd say that's probably the culprit. If you want to look into it, I'll detail what the columns are for.

Have sent you the masked database. One of the columns in that grid uses some VB functions - perhaps that's what's causing it. Maybe I can find a way to reduce overhead there somewhat.
Hi Left, Thanks for the file…
Hi Left,
Thanks for the file. The issue was easy to identify and a bug fix will be issued quickly.
For the record, each grid can have a Card view and if the associated card view is not empty, any item added to the grid is also added to the card view. That's the theory. Somehow, that associated card view had 19188 items in it. That's 50% of all items in your IQBase. Not only did this slow down the grid's add item process, it also was impossible to open the card view. How you got to this point isn't clear to me, but limits will be added to card views to prevent this in the future.
So to fix the issue right now, you can simply create a new grid and set its source to the same source as the problematic grid. Once done, delete that grid. You'll be all set.
HTH!

Huh, that is very strange as I only ever played around with card view for a few minutes and then left it at that.
Looking forward greatly to the bugfix. Will you eventually make it possible to manage / delete card views?
Many thanks!
