I have some URL links that have "RecordId=xx" as an argument.

Behavior in 0.9.25PreRel14 through PreRel18:
When in the grid pane, these links behave as expected by opening up my default browser and displaying the web page.
When in the HTML pane, these same links bring up the Scratch pad with "IDItem IN (xx)" as the source.

To recreate, you can use the non-useful link of http://www.google.com?RecordId=100.

When this text is pasted into an item in a grid, double-clicking or ctrl-click on that item will open the link in the browser.
When this text is pasted into an HTML pane, ctrl-click on the link will open up the Scratch pad with "IDItem IN (100)" as the source. Note the the href in the anchor in the HTML pane is the same as the text.

If browser mode is used in the HTML pane, then the link works as expect but, of course, brings the page up inside of the HTML pane.

In 0.9.25PreRel13, the link in both panes work by opening up the browser - which is the behavior I would expect.
The behavior above start occurring in the releases after Rel13.

The HTML browse mode was changed to support normal browsing with a working back button. To open in an external browser, use Shift-click (consistent with other browsers)

Pierre : I almost forgot to report an HTML pane URL toolbar little issue. I should probably open another thread but here it is :

Navigationarrows (URL toolbar, HTML pane), forward and back -- don't work here.

If you want I'll create another thread.

The "back" button works fine here when in Browse mode

Ok, try that : start your browsing from an MHT document (so you don't need to go into browse mode since your are de facto) : open an item with some MHT content, and click on a link.

Here both arrow are greyed out.

It's the only I can browse in the HTML pane anyway here. Going into browse mode and clicking on a link from a normal HTML embedded document always opens firefox.

Is that confirmed ?

When the HTML content is saved as MHT, browsing is painfully slow or doesnt work at all (if a page take more than a couple of minutes to appear - I'm calling that not working: the same page/links work perfectly in IE)

BTW when I do browse from HTML content, the arrows are not greyed out here (- this is the back-arrow that brings you to the previous item's HTML content though, rather than the previous web-page you looked at ?)

Sometimes I really wonder... In any case, I can now browse inside the HTML pane, even from an embedded HTML document (NOT MHT), which I was not able to do 2 days ago. Anyway.

Arrows still don't work when browsing in the HTML pane, from and MHT document (I don't have your browsing speed problems Tom...). See screencast :

Browsing in general in the HTML pane & in particular browsing:-

from MHT content
from HTML content
do forwards / backwards arrows work

maybe should start a new thread - I was asking because you & I had such varying experiences - I thought lets see how others are getting on

PS I cant see your screencast in FF - will try later in IE

Sure. In general (apart from the recent arrows problem and other bugs appearing once in a while), I don't have any problems myself. I must say that I don't like browsing in the HTML pane, for various reasons. Security would be the first, and the second main one is that I don't find it as convenient and don't see any advantages in doing so. Maybe if I was working on a netbook and wanted to reduce the amount of opened apps, I'd use the "inside de pane browsing mode" more.

Weird, I can't see it either... But it was there yesterday. I could try to link it again.

OK I see I was looking at the wrong arrows

Unfortunately I cannot test it browsing from MHT content cause browsing from MHT content is not working at all here tonight (in spite of no problems with same sites in IE or FF)

The arrows *do* work here when browsing from HTML content in the HTML pane

I still think it would be helpful to hear from others on this topic (am I the only one that cant browse from MHT content ?? - are you the only one for whom the forward/backward arrows dont work when browsing from MHT content ??)
