1- Open a grid with some yes/no fields.
2- Open the properties pane
3- Expand the "Filled fields section"
4- Go back to the grid and create an item
5- Check on of the Yes/No fields : the properties pane isn't updated until you move to another item and come back.

There might be other cases... But it's a bit late and I'll try tomorrow.

Anybody can confirm that ?

Confirmed Version 0.9.25Pre-Rel18

re step #5:  When I move to another item and come back, the properties pane is NOT updated

What problem is that Jan? I recall it not showing instantly in the grid, but I just created a new item, and the item ID showed immediately - in the properties pane at any rate

Tom ? Are you sure you posted in the right thread ? ;)

Ahah... Sorry Tom, I'm slow today.

Tom, you are spot on & I wasn't precise enough. ID does not show up in column until user goes thru one of IQ's mysterious refresh rituals, i.e. close / re-open grid or focus on different item or re-start program. I can't keep up with all the variations.

This too is to be classified in the "important" department (maybe not as urgent as some of the other problems I bumped up yesterday as Data integrity doesn't seem to be at stake here ? but maybe it is if one doesn't notice that the properties pane isn't out of sync).

There are other properties pane syncing problems.

While working with my usual DB, I just noticed that the properties pane displayed fields from the previously opened DB... I don't have the time to find out what are the steps to reproduce that now.

In any case I encountered these bugs with the properties pane several times a day (no exaggeration here) in the past 2-3 weeks :

1- Sometimes the properties pane is completetly empty. I need to close it (shift-F4) and reopen it to have content appear (I think this happens when loading a DB).

2- Sometimes the properties pane displays fields from another DB (usually when opening a new DB after closing another one, or something like that)

3-the properties pane is often not updated at all when data changes in the grid, especially the "filled field" section (This happens almost all the times). This might be linked to the problem mentioned in the first post.

If some have encountered some of these and are willing to  find the steps, it would be nice. These bugs need to be fixed...

Thanks.

# 1 kept happening me the other day - I'm not sure what you mean by "I think this happens when loading a DB" but not sure what caused it here, or for that matter what 'fixed' it

# 3 noticed that lately as well, again not sure why

just wanted to confirm - I'll keep an eye out for causes
