No need to explain more -- the subject line says it all.

Some details :

Today I decided it was time to import everything in IQ.

However, once imported in IQ, accents all appear as squares in the HTML pane.
I tried changing encoding in Internet explorer, but it didn't change anything.

Other fields are ok. It's just the HTML pane which doesn't show diacritics properly.

Note that a  textfields alike "*ç*" filter command will show the right notes (with HTML test containing "ç") in the grid, even if diacritics appear as "squares".

I opened my Evernote export file with notepad (.enx -- XML format) file  :  all accents are there, everything looks fine.

Do I need to send you a file ?

I "had" EN 2.2 installed at one point, and "could" install it again, but if you've got a file handy, yes please send it over

Here's a file with one note only. The note contains accents.

After being imported, note that :

1- The item field displays accents well
2- The HTML pane doesn't display the accents (well... on my pane)

Humm... Explorer cannot decompress the file and 7-Zip says it uses an unsupported compression.

Hi Pierre,
Like I said, the problem is with the HTML pane. The grid doesn't have any problems.
Thanks.

OK, got it. the EN export incorrectly states that the HTML is UTF-8 encoded. In fact it is ISO-8859-1 encoded.

Fixed in 0.9.25pre-rel23
