I'll see what I can do, but for now, set the Appt start time to 0h00 (in the recurrence setting), the time will go away

Pierre, this fix does not work here in modify series. It does seem to work if user is creating a new date item recurring. 
More important -> have you found a solution to this other than this workaround.

OK, this is a small bug in the calendar component. I now set the time to 0h00 when creating an all-day event
 
Note: this bug only occured if the event was created by double-clicking on the time-part of the calendar. Double-clicking on the all-day part was OK.
 
Fixed in 0.9.25  (yes, next version is the final 0.9.25, no more pre-rel...)
