Example:

User finds internet event calendar of interest
User clicks on an event in internet calendar to bring up specific event w description
User wants to create reminder of event for that on date
user drags / drops URL onto grid creating an item w link to internet item
User adds item w reminder to calendar
User clicks on calendar item > Link does not function

Here's a sample calendar I'm talking about

Comments

The Calendar does not support hyperlinks, but I've added a context menu: Open link. Also, both the Properties pane and the Notification pane will show usable links

In version 0.9.25

Pierre, do you mean you've added a context menu (right clck) to the calendar item which would then allow me to open external browser or will this open page in IQ browser mode? I understand the other options, thanks for that.

Yes, this is what I mean, the link will open in an external browser

Pierre,

I drag / drop URL onto grid w settings as seen below

Link works in Notification pane if user <SHIFT> to freeze
Calendar context menu: modify & delete work but "open link: command does not work here
There is no URL in Field Properties to click on
Even if I creaTE a new item + the URL, it doesn't work
I think <href> is pointing to the wrong value (don't know what I'm talking about)

I must be missing something.

Updated: What I'm missing is item URL MUST be STATIC & link saved to URL field MUST BE CHECKED to have it working in property URL field.

Having to making use of the STATIC url, does that mean it would be lost if the link was to a HD file & the folder was moved from one directory to another?

You must select Static in Item Hyperlink (I'll add some code to ensure that something is selected)

Thanks Pierre. Our posts crossed as I discovered that (see update on my original post) before I saw yours. But thanks. Adding code for static & URL would be a good addition I think when user adds link to calendar
