What's the fascination with Evernote vs softxperience Note Everything?

Comments

Well for one thing, softxperience Note Everything is Android only and it doesn't have an API

On the other hand, Catch Notes is really neat !!!

iOS, Android and Web interfaces, plus an API

It is kinda neat but Note Everything is still better (IMHO) strickly for note taking, etc. Catch Notes has beautiful GUI but lacks a few things that I find useful. Nevertheless, I installed & am playing w it while they continue development. Thanks for the find.

Now back to IQ

Evernote's key value is they have done a great job of integrating with so many other products and services.

Catch has an API as well, but they don't have near the traction of Evernote.

It must be just me. I find Evernote confusing.  Catch is cute but not ready for prime time IMHO.  Soon Note Everything will sync via DropBox.

I don't really like Evernote myself, but that integration drives usage since they get users bleeding over from everything they integrate with. It works in reverse also, which is wjhy I keep pushing for IQ to support XML import/export so we can integrate with lots of services and perhaps get customers from those services also :).

Good point & no argument from me about ways to integrate... I'm also pushing for Google integration for the exact same reason; it's omnipresent like MS

The great thing here is that this is exactly where Pierre seems to be heading : integration with Google & Evernote.
