Generally this is because the file is locked by another process (another instance of IQ). Sometimes it is necessary to restart Windows to release file locks.
It's great if you have a programme that doesnt let go of a file (I used have a problem that way with DOpus 8) it's there in the context menu
I believe the more recent version puts a shortcut on the desktop for some Ebay stuff - you can simply delete - it doesnt do anything dangerous - I guess the guy wasnt getting enough donations
edit - I just got the same Error - when I tried to compact, but an IQ restart seemed to solve the problem
