Yes, I got that problem too when dragging and dropping from explorer. It's a display problem where the grid appears with pieces of other windows etc.. I had to close the grid and reopen. This started with this new version.

I tested dragging a file into the grid in a clean install with sample file and nothing happened - no seize-up but also no item-link added
 

I'll provide a fix for this issue today.
 

I also have this problem. I could not test it on any of my other machines, so I thought it was limited to a particular configuration. However, I have tested a fresh install using thhe sample database on tw other machines. One with Vista Businesa, the other with Windows 7 Professional. I have additional observations though. When I drag the file to it's intended location, it does not end up there (no filters are involved), and if the mouse lingers long enough in a drag state, several blank items are created.

I was able to reproduce the issue and it is fixed in 0.9.25pre-rel27
 
(cause: the grid supplier changed the behaviour of the BeginUpdate / EndUpdate functions... now they must match perfectly. IMO silly, a BeginUpdate followed by 2 EndUpdate should work just fine, but it no longer does)

I experienced another weird grid freeze today. I'm not sure how to reproduce it but it happen when pasting the same data over several items. Anyhow, I'll see if I can be more specific later.
