Import to calendar

Submitted by Jon on 2012/05/04 16:12
I have a csv file that I need to import into the calendar. I have mapped the feilds correctly, I think. Mapping the item field is obvious. The date in the csv file has been mapped to appointments. Note that the date field is a simple date with no time. I know that in order to display in the calendar, ItemInCalendar needs to be ticked, so that field gets mapped to field 1. I have various other text fields which have been assigned accordingly.

I cannot get the appointments to show in the calendar. Do I need a duration? What am I  doing wrong?

Thank you.

Calendar/Phonebook Feature

Since you are in calendar mode, this may be a good time to request the ability to drag n' drop a phonebook entry into the calendar for an appointment (I guess it could be an entry from any gird). Once the appointment is saved a sub-item is created under the phonebook entry. I like to have a history of appointments with certain clients or sometimes I know I have an appointment with a particular person but can't remember when, this allows me to look up when the appointment is. Ecco has this ability if you want to see how it is implemented.

I thought I saw a post somewhere along the line, that an appointment could be copied and pasted within the calendar, is this ability there? I know you can copy Item text, but I would like to right click an appointment copy, then paste in different day or Ctrl+drag to copy to another day.

Thanks

Difficulties with scrolling to bottom of window

Submitted by woodworker on 2012/04/25 09:48
Here is the setup: I open three windows with the html view taking up about 1/4 of the screen width on the right side. I select "windows, tile vertical". This is what I use for my personal desktop.

When I open another window, it opens full size. When I close it my desktop reappears. Cool. This is what I want. Now here is the problem: when I open the other window full size, the scroll does not take me down to the bottom of the screen. It stops before I reach the bottom, so that I can't access the data I am entering at the bottom.

No problem, just maximize the screen, you say. But when I do that I lose all my desktop settings and I have to do create my desktop all over again.

Icon formats

Had some time to work with IQ. Very amazing piece of SW. I have a suggestion related to icons. I have hundreds of icons, many of which I would like to use with IQ. The problem is that they are all in .ico format. It is pain to have to take them, one by one, into PAINT and convert them. Many times, the conversions don't end up as nice. Any possibility that IQ could accept the .ico format in addition to .gif?

Looking forward to the next update!

HTML Pane problem on IQ startup

Submitted by Tom on 2012/04/24 17:13

This happens every time here:
  1. HTML pane is floating (click within pane, F11)
  2. Select an item with HTML content
  3. Close the HTML pane
  4. Close IQ
When I restart IQ, the same grid reopens, the same item is selected.
I open the HTML pane via Ctrl+F12, it's still floating and it's empty. I click in the pane, there is no response.

Likewise, if the item has no HTML content and I try to add it, HTML pane does not respond.

Workaround is:
  1. Alt+Tab to another app and back, or
  2. Focus on another item, then go back to first item
