I have Ecco bullets set to display under options.

If I use my mouse instead of the keyboard to create a new item, I get an Ecco style bullet that indicates the presence of a sub item. Refresh fixes the erroneous display, but this is misleading for a new user.

P.S. Further testing shows that this condition exists whether Ecco bullets are active or not.

Hi Jon,

I was not able to reproduce the issue. Can you be more explicit as to how the item was created, or use Jing to do a screencast ?

Thanks

Pierre

 Hi Pierre:

New blank P3 database. Items 2 and 3 were created by double clicking the mouse. I did not show that refresh clears the caret indicating sub-items. I forgot to do that.

Just for the record: I'm unable to reproduce that here - OS details in my signature

XP - SP3      IQ Portable - up-to-date

Hi Jon,

I was able to reproduce it. The problematic setting is not Ecco-style bullets but Expand on single-click (option 1.2.8).

I'll look into the issue and report back

(in the meantime, you may want to turn that setting ON... once you get used to single-click expand, you'll be hooked ! )

Ha ha. OK, thanks for tracking it down. I should have included a screen cast of my options while I was using Jing. Interesting product, and the first time I tried it.

Can this be fixed? I am so used to the manner in which I use Ecco that I would like to have that consistency maintained. Especially since I rely heavily on Ecco and use IQ as a side by side testbed.
