(Add item dialog (ctrl-n or win-n)  NOT on autoclose : after pressing the the add item button (alt-a), item text should be "auto selected" )

 

That would serve 2 purposes :

 

1- give feedback to user --> item has been effectively entered into the dB

2- allow the user to automatically type to create a new entry.
