Not sure if I am doing something wrong. I don't usually use Add Item, but I am reasonably sure that this worked some time ago.

1. Using Win+N, I open the Add Item dialogue.
2 Try to enter a url. It appears briefly, then is gone.
3. None of the highlighted text from the website appears in item text. I have the check boxes configured correctly.

I use Opera. I find it a terrific tool for the research I do and for work as well (or perhaps I am just so used to it). I know that it handles clipboard information differently than other browsers, but Zoot is able to pull this off correctly (it is a DDE issue). It would be nice if the url would be copied over automatically.

This seems to work with the following exceptions:

1. I still need to go back to Opera and manually paste the URl. Again, this has something to do with DDE. See Zoot for an example of how this can work successfully with Opera.

2. Pasting does not occur in any of the chosen grids when I click Add Item. The added items do appear in the scratch grid.

Please ignore my comment on not pasting into the correct grid (#2). Pasting works as it should. I switched the source of the grids in question a few days ago and forgot. The items were assigned correctly. My apologies.

#1 (Opera and the inability to capture the url in IQ) remains a problem though.

True, it is possible to get the Opera URL using DDE, and the recent changes to the clipper (to support multiple IQ instances) is a big step in achieving this.

So it should be quite easy to implement this.

This issue is fixed in v0.9.25W1.

Win+C in an Opera Window will now find the current URL !

(Opera does not support HTML format for its clipboard, so only text will be copied)
