Is a field allowed to start with an underscore
e.g.
_GridNr1

I've created a grid with that format and when I open it I get warning
---------------------------
SQLNotes
---------------------------
Error opening grid. Check grid source criteria.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

it opens all right but I dont trust it - to use it I mean

I noticed Armando had named a bunch of his grids like that so they would show up first on the grid list when sorted by name
I renamed a few which wasnt a problem so the problem appears to be with field name format

I actually changed my way of working so that when I start typing the first letter of a grid, it jumps to the right one (ctrl+shift+o, type first letter -- repeatedly if necessary--... press enter )

Oh... and I manually sort grids in my prefered order...

so do you have fields starting with underscore ? (Anyone?)

btw Armando,
completely off topic & may not be your taste in music but came across this just yesterday
just the name caught my eye

EDIT/ that Ctrl+Shift+O is very nice - I didnt realise it was a default shortcut, also if there's only one grid starting with a particular letter it will open as soon as you press that letter - very nice Pierre, thanks Armando must check if that's in shortcuts page

eheh, thanks tom. I'll check the double banjo bluegrass stuff... ;)

Yes, I use ctrl+shift+o to open a grid is very convenient.

Like I said in mantis and elsewhere -- but it's not vital, so Pierre will probably consider it only later on --, if that grid "menu" could have a more sophisticated search as you type mode (à la farr, and like it's already implemented in the "assign to" menu from the "add item..." window) it would be easier to get to any grid in a flash...
