In "manage fields", when I try to sum children to parents, I am told that the sum function is not found.

Since I can't find "View --> User Code" (see my previous post) I can't seem to find a place to enter the sum function, or anything else.  The VB editor doesn't seem to allow me to use that function either, although I'm not big on VB, so I could very well be doing it wrong (I tried a couple of different things but gave up when they didn't work).

If you open the VB editor, in system code, you'll find the sum function (to be used for hierarchy calculations)

Hi Pierre,

Sorry, but there's no code at all in "system code" section.  The only code I find at all is this snippet in "This database" section:

function test1
  y=1
end function

The "system code" section (you have to click on the tab, on the left) should contain about 400 lines of code... That's what I have here. I wonder why you can't see anything.

Not sure, but there's really really nothing there.  Under system code I see three line numbers, 1, 2, 3 (vertically, of course) and there's just nothing whatsoever there.

Ah, I just opened the portable version, which I also downloaded, for the first time and found the code there.  I've copied it over to the registered version now, and I suspect that that will solve the problem (will try it out first thing tomorrow).

Thanks, guys.

Currently, I recommend using the portable version
