Table re-sizing isn't working well for me.  You should be able to re-size the columns and rows by hovering the cursor over the appropriate line until it changes to a double-arrow.  Then you drag the line to where you want it.

It's difficult for me to get the double-arrow icon to appear the way it should.  The cursor has to be in just the right spot then many times the double arrow will flicker on then immediately go off.  Other times it never shows up at all.

I'm using release 29a.

IQ is using the IE editing engine.
Are you experiencing these difficulties in other apps that use the IE engine ?
What PC model, OS version, screen resolution, regional settings, etc are you using ?

It is a good idea to put this information in your signature (can change it in "My account", here on the IQ forum)
(especially for some recent PC with high resolution displays...)

I added my system info.  No idea what my regional settings are.  I also don't know what other apps use the IE engine.

Column/row re-sizing works fine in Excel.  As something more comparable, I also created tables in MyInfo and EssentialPIM.  No problem re-sizing them there, either.

In v0.9.26PreRel30, I've added a setting to specify the table cell resizing hot spot :
Tools > Options > Program Settings > Other > HTML Pane Table resizing hot spot size (pixels)

Hopefully, this will help !

Pierre,

I just installed Rel 30 and, unfortunately, the table problem is just as bad if not worse.  I'm getting all kinds of strange behavior.  First, it lets me grab a column for re-sizing, then it doesn't.  Then when I try to grab a column it creates a black fill in the adjacent cell.  When I move the cursor away and try to do something else the black fill is replaced with black fill in just the bottom 1/3 of the cell.  Then it later goes away and randomly comes back.

I could do screen captures of what it's doing on my system, if that would help any.

I'd like to hear if anyone else is having the same problem.  If it's something unique to my system, then I don't think you should spend more time trying to fix it.
I don't use tables that much and when I do I'd just as soon do them in Excel then copy/paste them into InfoQube.

If you can create a table in a sample IQBase, check that the issue is present and send me the sample, I'll be able to take a look at it.

Hi Wayne,

Thanks for the file. I was able to reproduce the issue on a Win 7 IE10 machine. The issue is related to IE10. I'll need to look into it

Experimenting a little, the hotspot is as specified in the options, however the cursor is not changed to reflect this.
So when close to a border, if you click, you'll be able to resize even though the cursor does not show it.

Give it a shot and see if it is like this for you

That works pretty well for re-sizing rows but not at all for columns.  When I try to grab a column line it grabs the adjacent row every time.

I'm fine with the way it is.  Like I said, I can use Excel for tables. It's not a problem.

Most likely, this is because the hotspot is too large. Reduce it in tools > Options. Try 5 ou 6 px

Adventurous users can try installing IE 11 to see if it solves this issue...

Re-sizing didn't seem to do anything.  It flickers on and off if I move very slowly across the line.  Just doesn't work for me.  I'm using IE 11.

Good news !

The supplier was able to reproduce the issue and will be working on a fix.
I'll integrate it as soon as possible !
