Is anyone having trouble with hoisting? It has been a while since I used hoisting, but I know it worked for me several versions ago. When I try to hoist I get the same error message in every grid.

"Error reading data. Check the source, filter and sort criteria."

Everything seems fine but perhaps I have missed something.

I've been using it a lot lately and haven't had a problem.  Just checked it in Rel. 30 and it seems to still be working.

Thanks for checking. I must have done something wrong. If I can't figure it out, I'll send the file to Pierre.

Still unable to use hoist. The same error message appears for every grid. This file worked with earlier versions of IQ - I know because I just tested it.

Pierre, if you don't mind I will send my file to you for analysis no later than tomorrow.

Unless you have other ideas that I can try.

I haven't tried v30 yet. Might tomorrow if my work load becomes bearable.

Pierre, I don't have to bother you with the inspection of my database. I examined the settings of every grid and all seemed fine. I jumped back to IQ 0.9.26.19 Portable and hoisting worked fine on all of the grids. Just before sending the file, I tried a repair and that seems to have resolved the issue.

I wonder why.

EDIT: Just to be clear, the repair was performed using 30. I used 19 just to check on the hoisting problem. It was not there when using 19, but was present when I opened it with 30.

If by any chance you still have a version (or backup) with the issue, please send it. These things should not happen and with your file, I'll be able to diagnose the reason and provide a fix.

Thanks for your patience

 Thanks !

File attribute was set to read only. Removing the attribute fixed the issue.
I've added a test at file open and show a message if read only
