First time here...

Finally found something useful. I am a MyInfo and FileMaker user and a previous EPIM also. I found this SQLNotes by sheer luck by looking for ECCO.
So I am trying to understand well all the facets of SQLNotes and the first thing that come up is "How to design a specific section for a specific task" because it seems that here you have more than several way of doing something either right or less right.
I think this could be the one. I direct a CAD Product Development department and the amount and type of information is staggering.
This is why no single program is capable of handling the challenge, but this one could be a Hub for it.
Well, time will tell.

In the mean time I have a little question:
When I import (Drag-n-Drop) text from other programs into a "Grid Item" the TAB-space given between words in the other application appears in SQLNotes. So far so good.
BUT how do I type-in my TAB space in SQLNotes in text fields?
All I could find in this Site is about Tabs but not the Tab-Spaced move of the cursor between text.
Is there a way for this? I've tried every possible key combination...ran out of keys....

Thank you.

The only way I could see is to use the HTML code: &#09:   &#09This is a &#09test

In the grid, you can use Item > Insert > Tab. You can drag-drop the button on a toolbar if you use it often. (There is a shortcut, Shift-Ctrl-T, but there is a bug right now, the shortcut does not work)

Thank you.
Yes I did tried the shortcut and I imagine that wad related to some kind of tab system particular to SQLNote and I could not see it.

Also KeithB's way means that I can use that language everywhere....interesting.

I updated -- link to nonexistent node ID 131 -- and -- link to nonexistent node ID 145 --, and referenced this forum post.

"Tab" is easy to search for, but gives a lot of results, since (like "glossary) it's used to denote two different things.

I'd like to see a "Tab" glossary entry describing both things...anyone?

Sure... can you propose some text for it?

Pierre

Can you force "Tab" to go to the top in a search?

Can you describe in more details how it is now and what you'd like?
