I downloaded the sample IQ database a couple of times from different computers and all it contains is a single file named "Sample.SNTemplate". I gave it an extension of .sndb and got it to work. You may want to make sure it has an extension of more new users are not going to be able to get it to work.

The sample template file comes with all installations. When you use IQ to create a new file, it is copied and the extension changed to .sndb

Thanks Pierre. However my post is still valid - you have a download for a sample file that doesn't have an extension. If it's obsolete and doesn't work get rid of it so you don't have confused new users

I was aware I could create a new database with sample data, but tried the sample database download because I thought maybe it had other sample data. Otherwise, why would it be there?

I'm not sure why it's there as a separate download if it's also updated in each new IQ version.

Just to add a couple words to Pierre's explanation : when you create a new file from withing IQ, it'll use the included sample file. Unless you specify that you want a blank DB.
