If I write some text (or paste some text) in the HTML pane, move focus, and come back - I'm unable to edit.
I rarely use the HTML pane,
so maybe I'm missing something? But even then seems wrong...

Tested on Win7 x64 -- with a fresh portable IQ install (34A) -- with new sample file (with content)
EDIT //
forgot to say - still using IE9 (which is fully up to date)

I *still* have this problem with:
Win 7 x64 // IQ portable version 35 // IE9

I do *not* have this problem on:
Windows 8.1 x64 // IQ installer version 35 // IE11

Can anyone out there confirm whether or not they have this problem?
Thanks, Tom

I don't know if it's the same thing but I've encountered being unable to edit anything in the HTML pane several times and I always find that it's because it somehow got changed (evidently on its own) to "browse mode".  I then right click in the HTML pane and select "browse mode" again, which toggles it out of browse mode, and I'm able to edit again.

This is happening here again (so I think can be confirmed as a bug Pierre):

the HTML pane reverts to an uneditable mode (possibly on restarting IQ?)
Browse mode is not shown as being selected in the menu - but
if I turn browse mode on, and then off again, (as David suggested) the HTML pane becomes editable again
