This is a question I raised in the thread about image problems in the HTML pane.  I suggested maybe I should put images in the grid.  I wouldn't want to put all images there, but the more I think about it, I can see some good uses for it.  For example, if I have a link to a nice graphic, a thumbnail view next to it would be a helpful reminder of what the image is.
 
One of the nice things about using the HTML pane is that images are saved as separate files, so you never have to worry about overloading your database.  What about the grid?  I presume in that case the images would be saved within the database.  Would a large number of images in the grid be a potential problem?

No, whether in the HTML pane or in a grid, images do not use any space in the database. It is just a link to an image file
