I posted before that I'm losing my HTML pane toolbar settings when I do updates, despite carefully following the instructions for transferring settings.  I was willing to allow that maybe I'm still doing something wrong during the transfer, but last night it happened again, and I wasn't doing an update.

When I rebooted the computer last night to try to fix the database problem, my toolbars came up scrambled again.  It takes a fair amount of time to get everything where I want it, and I've gone through this at least half a dozen times.  Here are screenshots.

Before screenshot:

[Imagine toolbars nicely organized with all the formatting tools on the bottom row and all the tools I don't use deleted]

Afer screenshot (tools I use most at the top, unnecessary rows, etc):

This appears to be a default arrangement.  If I can't find a solution to the repeated scrambling, could we at least make the default settings a little more organized?  There's no reason to have 7 rows of toolbars.  They could easily fit on 5, at the most.  It just eats up space in the HTML pane for no good reason.

Hi Wayne

Your setup is definitely causing these issues. Did you install a portable version in a protected folder ?
Try using the installable version or else copy the portable version in folder YourWinUserName\Documents\IQPortable

I'll try that.  When you say "these issues" are you referring just to the toolbars problem or could this be causing my other problems, too?

Edit:  I think I misunderstood.  You're saying don't install it in a protected folder.  Not sure what you mean by that.  Google search for "Windows protected folder" found only articles on password protection.  I think you're referring to program folders.  It's not there.  It's on the C drive in my Downloads folder. I just moved it to the C drive documents folder but don't think that's going to make a difference.
